Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is a North American non-profit program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k race.
Tennessee Advocacy and Public Awareness Committee
The Junior Leagues of Tennessee Advocacy and Public Awareness Committee is a state level coalition formed and owned by the Junior Leagues of Tennessee to facilitate networking, coordinate information and research, promote awareness, and advocate on issues of shared interest.
Done-in-a-Day projects are short, intensive community projects that are completed in a single day.

The Be Well Boro Health and Wellness fair is an annual community fair showcasing our signature impact with a focus on the health and wellness of our community.We will have activities to better your health! Such as free health screenings, massages, entertainment and prizes. This is hosted by the Junior League of Murfreesboro at NO COST to you!
Kids in the Kitchen
Kids in the Kitchen is a program designed to help communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition.
The Junior League of Murfreesboro (JLM) is an organization of women in Rutherford County committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. We have a diverse group of women building a better community through a commitment to advocacy, leadership, multiculturalism, and a commitment to children. Each year the JLM awards this scholarship to a high school senior woman who is a resident of Rutherford County, accepted to and attending a four year college/university, and exhibits strong leadership through exemplary volunteerism in her school, church, and/or community. The young woman should be entering college in the fall of 2017 and have a 3.25 or higher grade average. The award of $1,500.00 is granted for one semester and is renewable for an additional seven semesters, or a potential total of $12,000. Renewal of this scholarship will be assessed at the end of each semester between the scholarship recipient and the Scholarship Committee. Maintenance of a 3.25 GPA is necessary to continue with the scholarship. Recipients are required to submit grades at the end of each semester.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS CHECKLIST:
Applicant must be female.
Applicant must reside in Rutherford County.
Applications must be received by April 14, 2017.
Scholarship proceeds will be transmitted directly to the student’s college or university.
Junior League of Murfreesboro members and their immediate families are not eligible.
